On Berkeley Street sits Nobu, one of the most famous Japanese restaurants in the world, with a huge celebrity following due to its celebrity chef founder Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. Serving up traditional Japanese cuisine, Nobu can also be found on Park lane.
Turning 26, marked a new chapter for me, another year was added to my life and it was time to celebrate. So there I was sitting in Nobu, surrounded by loved ones with my favourite sushi dish in front of me- Yellowtail sashimi with Jalapeno-thankful to God for blessing me throughout the years and then I remember that I am only 4 years away from 30 *cries*
However, I did thoroughly enjoy my birthday, the service was superb as per usual and maybe I am being biased when I say Nobu has the best sashimi and maki rolls!!! My dish choices were; Edamame, Yellowtail with Jalapeno, New style salmon sashimi, Salmon and avocado inside old maki roll with a glass of Pinot Grigio.
If you decide to eat with friends I would suggest the Berkeley branch, as the vibe and ambience is a lot more chilled than the park lane branch. Once dinner was over, it was downstairs for some more cocktails and a passion fruit mojito was my desired choice. My cross me kid Christian Louboutins were telling me stop but we continued the night dancing away at the bar lounge in Novikov but then the clock strikes, and its was 12am and no longer my birthday, it was time to live the life in the eyes of a 26 year old…
