L’Oréal has just launched their latest campaign with French fashion designer Isabel Marant- WANTED. This is a unique collaboration, where fashion meets beauty. Showcased during Paris fashion week, this effortless collection represents Parisian chic and street style. As a woman herself, Marant was inspired to create a collection that innovates and inspires women with Parisian influences. Isabel wanted to create an easy to use range whether its uses is for on-the-go or for a fashion event. This can be seen throughout the collection with no more than 7 pigmented lipsticks and you can create easily a basic or bold look with 5 products.
Eyebrows have always been a big thing for me and it has taken a while for me to be happy with my eyebrows, I already have thick and full eyebrows, so I hardly have to do much. I just buffed my eyebrows out with the 2 in 1 eyelash and mascara wand. Ensuring that my brow hairs where combed with the thick brush. The formula is translucent and aids in adding texture and volume to enhance and define brows. I chose not to use this wand on my lashes as I prefer a black bold look but this wand can also use to add volume to your lashes obtaining an understated Parisian chic look.
‘Where there is smoke. There’s fire.’
For the eyes, I used the smoke palette, which is made up of two limited edition shades; Coal Wind, which is a matte black shade and Scarabeo Storm which is a deep green with blue reflects. To create my eye look I placed the black eyeshadow on the top of my eyelid and blended in with a blending brush for a deep smokey eye, whilst placing the emerald green colour on my lash line to create enhance my smokey eye and create a bold look. This is a perfect compact palette which creates a seamless natural smokey eye, ready for whatever the day or night brings.
I used Shine, which is a complexion-enhancing skin beautifier to blur imperfections and subtly highlight the skin. Shine is a smooth and creamy formula for seamless application. Isabel designed Shine, with the idea that this beautifier can be used for multipurpose use. In a universal pinky-peach shade which can also be used on any skin tone. I applied shine to my cheekbones and on the bridge of my nose to give my face an extra glow and radiance. I gently patted in the formula into my cheekbones. As Shine comes in a slimline pot, which is easy to slip into your bag for later use, in case of future touch-ups throughout the day.
For my look, I chose La Seine Shadow which is a muted nude with pink undertones. I wanted to feminise my look and felt a nude lip would be best to pair back with this look.
However, there are several shades in this collection, ranging from deep burgundy to nude, with red being the most prominent colour. This is predictable as it is influenced by Parisian chic, which Isabel is famously known for. The formula is infused with pure pigments and camellia oil to give the richest colour and most moisturising matte finish.
Belleville Rodeo-Which is a deep burgundy red with a brown undertone.
La Butte Marshall-which is a vibrant red with a deep reddish undertone.
Pigalle Western– which is more of a red with pink undertones.
Palais Royal field-which is a true red colour. A perfect red to create a Parisian red lip.
La Seine Shadow– which is a muted nude colour with pink undertones.
These lip colours are a nice range of red shades with one muted pink and the shades are universal, suitable for all skin tones.
Final thoughts: Overall this is a great collection, as it is simple and effortless. Even the packaging is absolutely beautiful and sleek, emphasising the fashion element. I will definitely be using the brow and mascara wand to tame my thick brows. As you can create an on the go look with 5 multipurpose products, this is a great range to keep in your everyday bag.
