One of the biggest trends in fashion right now is Leopard print, and I am definitely not one to shy away from bold prints! Here are 4 ways to wear leopard print, the Bouji way.
My biggest inspiration when it comes to fashion is Instagram, it’s a quick and easy way to see what is on trend and what new products that brands are pushing. I have seen this leopard print trend all over this social media platform and I was definitely inspired to create some outfit looks for you guys! There are many ways to wear leopard print so I picked up this leopard print shirt from PrettyLittleThing. What I love is the quality of this shirt, satin based in material but appears to look like silk.
To elevate this outfit, I paired the leopard print shirt with black leather pants from Hudson jeans. Black is a universal colour that goes with any print and leather can elevate even the most inexpensive item.
To give this outfit a pop of colour and quirkiness I added my Balenciaga triple s trainers. Once again my outfit is further elevated and has a street style vibe to it. I have recently become somewhat of a hype fiend and definitely had to cop these trainers, the ugly trainer trend has been going on for a few seasons now and although I thought that the trend was becoming increasing saturated I was wrong has Balenciaga keep pushing out more colours and other brands are joint the wave. Whenever I wear these trainers I definitely get stopped up to three times a day. Although the leopard shirt is the staple piece, at just £25, who would even know!
There is nothing wrong with showing a bit of skin and being in an audacious print, whilst you are showing that leg. For me this skirt is everything. I absolutely am fine with showing a bit of leg and why wouldn’t I? My legs are great! I saw this leopard print skirt on PrettyLittleThing and I had to get it! It is very me and fits in with my Bouji style. The skirt is satin based, but depending on the styling could look more expensive than its £20 price tag.For this look, I wanted to be casual as the skirt is quite revealing in itself so I paired the skirt with a plain cotton Rag and Bone logo white T-shirt. Rag and bone for me are the go-to for cotton T-shirt’s, whether plain or logo based. The quality speaks for itself and I love how the brand fits my petite frame. I have many Rag and Bone T-shirt’s and this is the newest addition to my collection. Talking of quality, I have worn this Rag and Bone leather jacket to the death of me and then some. This is my favourite leather jacket and goes perfectly with any outfit. Made from calf leather the jacket is smooth but still well structured and durable.
For footwear, I chose to wear my Alexander McQueen runway sneakers in white. I loved these sneakers as they give an added boost to my height due to their platform, however, they are still classic enough to still look slightly formal. The only con with these trainers was breaking them in, you may be in dire pain when wearing these trainers for the first time but once you break them in, you’ll be in love forever! This leopard print biker jacket is another way to style leopard print. I got his jacket from PrettyLittleThing for just £45. However, I paired it with a Rag and Bone logo white cotton T-shirt and Paige denim blue jeans.
The jeans aid in giving a bit of character as these are the Hoxton straight ankle, which is a high rise straight ankle. These jeans are vintage denim, giving the jeans little stretch and I brought these in a size 23. These jeans are very fashion forward as they have the stripe panelling, which is currently on trend at the moment. This daring leopard print jacket is from V By Very, one of my favourite high street brands and retails for £90. I love Very because they are always on trend but still affordable and accessible to the market. This jacket is a wool blend, ensuring that you are on trend but the jacket is still functional and keeps you warm. A full-length leopard jacket is something that can either be a fashion statement or a fashion faux pas. However it is all about the styling, that’s why I chose to keep the outfit casual when styling this jacket. Paired with the iconic lip motif print from Markus Lupfer and grey ripped jeans from one of my favourite brands’ Frame. I could live in these jeans as they are that comfortable! I love the high rise of the jeans has it gives that extra definition to the body. However, the jeans are in a straight cut, which makes the jeans more comfort and the rip and hem detail make the jeans that bit more fashionable. To finish off the casual look I chose to pair this outfit with my black Golden Goose sneakers because this outfit is all about comfort and these are by far my most comfortable sneakers that I own. I love the distressing technique that Golden Goose uses on their trainers, despite this not being everyone’s taste.
