Lancôme have blessed us with their new Starlight Sparkle eye shadow palette, which has just come in time for the festive season! I have created a Smokey eye look for you guys, which you can recreate for Nye or any Christmas events that you will be in attendance. Before creating my eye look, I need a perfect base, so after priming my skin I take the Teint Idole ultra wear foundation, in number 9, shade cookie, which is a medium tan shade with yellow undertones. Lancôme gives you the confidence to enjoy your day life proof as this foundation is long lasting and can be worn wear for up to 24 hours, smudge-free with no transfer! As always, I applied this foundation with a beauty blender, taking 2 pumps of the foundation and pressed the foundation into the skin. This foundation is full coverage as it aided in covering up my dark scarring on my right cheek, but has a lightweight feel to it.To take away the shine and set that foundation, I took the Lancôme ‘Long time no shine loose setting and mattifying powder’ in the shade deep. This powder is lightweight and definitely aids in controlling shine. This powder also protects and sets the foundation, helping to blur the look of imperfections. I loved using this powder as it did indeed reduce the shine from my face. I used this powder through out summer has my face was a little bit more tanned and this powder sat perfectly on my skin. However, I do wish they had a lighter colour as in the winter months, my skin does get a bit lighter, and this powder is a bit too deep for my natural skin tone. This is the Lancôme Starlight Sparkle Christmas Limited edition eye shadow palette. This palette includes
–3 matte shades
–5 frost & metallic Smokey shades,
–5 ultra-glittery topcoats
–2 EYE BRUSHES + 1 CHEEK BRUSH
–One flat end for all-over-the-lid application
–One fluffy end for blending
–One flat cheek brush
This palette was inspired by the magical sunrise and twilight color wonders of the French capital skyline and with 13 eye shadow shades, this palette is perfect for the Christmas season celebrations! I wanted to create a Smokey eye look for you guys, so for this eye look, I started with a deep chocolate brown matte eye shadow from the palette as a base shade. Having a dark base shade will ensure that the metallic shade that I will place in the latter will sparkle and have definition. I blended this shade into my eyes for 5-7 minutes to ensure that the eye shadow will not creased on my eye, and have full coverage on my eyelid. I secondly went in with a pewter grey metallic eye shadow over the brown base colour and blended in for a Smokey eye. For my lash line, I took the metallic blue eye shadow shade and blended in to make my Smokey eye pop. To lighten up this look and give my Smokey eye a bit of a twist I took the pink metallic colour and placed in the inner corners of my eyes. For mascara, I took the Lancôme Hypnôse Drama mascara to create dramatic lashes. The curvaceous super-sized brush creates high volume and thicker looking lashes. With every stroke of this mascara to your lashes, a stunning gaze is built, creating beautiful, full body lashes. This has become my go-to mascara for my every day lashes as it makes my lashes full and voluptuous, with no need for falsies!
