L’Oréal has always been my number one go to drugstore brand for me so I was super excited when L’Oréal launched their Christmas collection- Starlight in Paris! Using these products in one night, I became an L’oreal goddess with glittery shimmery eyes and the perfect nude lip.To create this look, I used the L’oréal infallible mattifying primer as a base to prime my skin. The L’oreal infallible mattifying primer primes hydrates and smooths over imperfections, absorbing excess oil from the face, giving your makeup a perfect and flawless finish. At £8.99, this is by far my favourite drugstore primer as it helps to blur the appearance of my skin! I apply the primer into the palm of my hands rubbing the primer all over my face. After my skin has been primed, I applied the new L’Oréal infallible 24-hour foundation in 340 copper, however I do feel like I could go down a shade, as copper did leave a deeper undertone. This foundation is a lightweight, full coverage liquid foundation. Which is transfer-proof, life-proof, party-proof and waterproof and allows you to go all night long with up to 24 hour wear. The innovative oxygen technology gives a lightweight feel whilst the ultra- stretchable formula ensures full coverage application- so a little goes a long way.
L’Oréal says ‘Life does not compromise, so now your makeup does not either. For Unstoppable resistance in unstoppable situations for unstoppable women.’
I applied this foundation using 1 1/2 pumps with a beauty blender and worked into my skin for a flawless breathable finish. For my eye look, I am taking the Limited Edition Glitter eye shadow in 01 Stardust in Paris. I firstly prime my eyes to ensure that the eye shadow would stand the night, I then dampened my eye shadow brush as I wanted to create a metallic golden foil eye look. I then pressed my dampen eyeshadow brush into the Glitter mono eye shadow and applied onto my eyelid. I proceeded to blend the eye shadow in with a blending brush for 5-7 minutes. I loved playing around with this eye shadow as it is highly pigmented and the colour is truly enchanting once applied. For my lash line, I took the Glitter Fever Eyeliner in the colour 1- Holographic show, which is an iridescent pearl white colour. Taking the applicator, I placed the glitter on my lash line and corners of me eyes. For an all over golden look, I took the glow drops warm in gold and placed 3 dots on each cheek and the bridge of my nose and blended in with a beauty blender. My cheeks were instantly illuminated giving my face a brighter more radiant glow.
To finish off my golden look, I took the Volume Million Lashes Topcoat Glitter Gel Mascara and placed on my lower lashes, giving my lashes a gold glitter effect. Due to the coiled brush, it makes the application of the mascara to my lashes simple.
For my lips, I am taking the L’Oreal Paris Christmas Collection Glitter Lipstick in 259- Nude After Party, which is nude with a sliver glitter undertone. This lipstick is part of the iconic L’Oréal Colour Riche family, however for this Christmas Limited Edition Collection this lipstick is dressed in gold festive Starlight packaging. Colour Riche are known for their ultra moisturising, highly pigmented and intense lipsticks. I loved using this lipstick, as the colour is truly intense with a satin finish. This lipstick is enriched with Camila oil to ensure that my lips stay nourished. It sits well with my skin tone and seems to be a universal nude for all skin tones.
