For the last month I have been using the Anastasia Beverly Hill soft glam palette and I have to say I am absolutely in love! This palette contains 14 highly pigmented combination of pastel pinks, warm browns and peachy shades, and is a softer touch to it’s sister palette, the Modern Renaissance. I’ve been loving this palette and using these shades for an everyday look as majority of the colours are neutral and provide a perfect earth tone eye look. However, you can glam up your look, as the palette includes glistening and metallic colours to change your look from day to night!
*Tempera- which, is an ultra-matte velvety beige shade.
*Glistening- which, is an iridescent gold with a hint of pink shade.
*Orange Soda- which, is an ultra-matte pastel peach shade.
*Rose Pink- which, is a rose gold shade with soft pink iridescence.
*Sultry-which, is a satin metallic warm chocolate brown shade.
*Bronze- which, is a metallic golden bronze shade.
*Mulberry- which, is an ultra-matte mulberry colour shade.
*Dusty Rose- which, is an ultra-matte dusty lilac shade.
*Fairy- which, is a multi-dimensional light gold shade.
*Burnt Orange- which, is an ultra-matte deep orange shade.
*Sienna- which, is an ultra-matte earthy brown shade.
*Rustic- which, is an ultra-matte deep cinnamon brown shade.
*Cyprus Umber- which, is an ultra-matte dark coffee shade.
*Noir- which, is an ultra-matte deep carbon black shade.
I decided to create a more dramatic look for a night out! I wanted to go for something different and come out of my comfort zone as I usually stick to basic neutral looks. For my base shade, I used Mulberry, as it is a neutral matte shade and applied to my eyelid. Followed by Sienna, which is also an earthy mate shade and blended in. Combing these two shades would be a perfect shade to then add the shade Sultry on top of. Sultry is a warm metallic brown shade and needs an earthy base to see the metallic glimmers at it’s best. I then added the Rose Pink shade to the middle of my eyelid to emphasise my metallic eye look and give my eyes an iridescent sparkle. I then contoured with Mulberry along the crease line to make my eyes pop. I added bronze to my lash line to compliment this metallic eye look and finished off by adding Fairy to the inner corners of my eyes to get a multi-dimensional look. I absolutely love how you can use this palette to create an everyday look and then a glowing night look! This palette will definitely be staying in my makeup box for a while!
